Açıklama | : | “International Shadow Employment Workshop”
The “International Shadow Employment Workshop: Unregistered Employment, Impacts, Policies, Remedies, and Local Practices, Registered Employment, Shadow Employment, Registered Economy, Employment Quality, Qualified Employment”, is scheduled to be held on 11-12-13 August in Isparta which is closely located to Antalya in Turkey.
The Workshop is organized as part of the European Union Project- “Business World is not Unconcerned ” (İş Dünyası Kayıtsız Kalmıyor), carried out under the Grant Scheme for Promoting Registered Employment Program. The Project is being implemented jointly by the European Union, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Turkey, University of Suleyman Demirel University and Isparta Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This project includes a set of activities such as analysis of current situation, public spotlight, workshops, training courses, TV programmes and seminars; which will be completed with the international workshop.
As known, in rising economies such as in Turkey, the one of the most important problems is unofficial employment. It is an important indicator for categorizing the developed and developing economies, as well. Therefore, this workshop will focus on the question of unregistered employment, impacts, policies, remedies, and local practices, registered employment, shadow employment, registered economy, employment quality, qualified employment. The main purpose of this workshop is to discuss this issue from different economic perspectives with the participation of academics, professionals, specialists, practitioners from the field and NGOs as well as bureaucrats dealing with unregistered employment.
Submissions are accepted in English and Turkish.
